Okanagan Lake Photo Gallery

We love our Newport Beach campground and Newport Beach loves BCFFC. We've provided some photos below, to give our first time campers an early glimpse of their new vacation destination. Please keep in mind that these lush, green pictures were taken in late June. As the gloriously warm and sunny days of summer pass, so too does much of the colour of our treasured location. We might get brown and dusty but we still have fun, fun, fun!

The famous "Grassy Field" is the gathering place for all group activities. Children meet their Moniteurs and groups here at 9:00 a.m. and again after lunch. At 7:00 p.m. everyone is invited to return to the Grassy Field for songs, skits, and games. Bring your lawn chairs and cameras!

The playground in the upper area of the campground offers a place to swing and teeter totter your troubles away. It's close to many of our available sites.

These are some of our basic sites in the 20's area of the campground. No power in this area but the trees and grass are a definite plus.

Another sample of one of our lovely treed basic sites in the upper area of the campground -- a nice, safe area for younger children to ride their bikes.

Our upper level washroom building. It's close to the playground, has easy access to campsites, and offers a sani-station and gray water disposal area.

Basic sites in the 80's area of the campground. These sites have sun and more sun and are situated close to the grassy field and across from a washroom building.

Our lower level washroom building -- another popular gathering place. The showers are hot and free for the taking.

Marina: Check here for any boating needs. If you bring a boat, you cannot park it at your site.

Marina concession: Ice, cold treats and other snack items as well as some fishing gear and assorted goods can be found at the concession and may save you a trip up to the store.

Group activity area: This lovely little park is a few steps from the Marina and a great place for our kid groups or adult activity gatherings.

A sampling of power sites featuring 15 amp power and water. Close to the Grassy Field and just down the hill from washrooms. BYOS (bring your own shade) if you receive one of these spots.

Moniteurs' site: Our wonderful Moniteurs reside here for their weeks at camp. Out of respect for their privacy, this area is off limits for our campers please.

Beach sites: Situated lakeside and just a short distance to the sandy Newport Beach area. These sites do not have power or water hook-ups and are suitable for smaller camping units and tents only.

Power sites: Another sampling of our 15 amp power and water sites. More sun here so throw some poles and tarps into your gear for instant shade.

Beach area: A nice mix of sun and shade makes this beach a real treasure for our families. The water is beautifully clear and safe for swimming but remember, you are responsible for supervising your children here. No dogs are allowed on the beach.

Beach area: Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy a relaxing time or cool off with a refreshing swim. Lots of shady spots if sunbathing is not for you.

Basic site in the upper area of the campground: No services but a great little spot to spend the week.

Newport Beach store: Just the place to go if you run out of supplies or feel the need for a delicious ice cream cone or ice. If they don't have what you are looking for here, the wonderful Newport staff can tell you where to find it.
